Mini Selvage Bin

Save your selvages to make these fun little organizers! Perfect for holding all the little things you want to organize - you can hang them on the wall, sit them on a counter, or line them up on a shelf. At 5 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 3 inches deep they are just the right size for a variety of uses. You could even use them by your sewing machine as a thread catcher or a garbage bin.

To make one selvage bin You will need about 10 selvage strips that are at least 10 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide, a 5 1/2 x 10 inch piece of fabric for the bottom, an 8 1/2 x 15 1/2inch piece for the lining and a 1 1/4 x 4 piece of fabric for the hanging loop. You will also need thread and a piece of batting that is 10 x 15 inches. You could substitute a 4 inch piece of ribbon or cord for the hanging loop if desired.
