Big Surf multi size pattern with cutting chart and coloring sheet

Ocean Waves in big blocks make a quilt that is stunning, but not too difficult.  The piecing is easy, but looks very impressive!  The block is traditional and effect is very modern when you use beautiful batiks to piece it.

Part of the fun of making this is playing with the arrangement of colors to create movement.  Make sure half of your fabrics are dark and half are light for best results.

I designed this quilt with an assortment of beautiful batik fabrics from Island Batik, but this quilt could be made in softer shades and still look fabulous.  I've included fabric requirements as well as block counts for quilts in a varitey of size from lap to king size, as well as the featured wall hanging.

Pattern contains cutting charts as well as a full size coloring sheet so you can plan your layout in advance.

Wall Quilt 36 x 48 - 12 to 18 1/3 yard cuts

Lap Quilt - 60 x 60 - 18 – 24 1/3 yard cuts

Twin Quilt - 72 x 84 - 28 1/3 yard cuts, or 12 3/4 yard cuts

Double Quilt - 84 x 96 - 38 1/3 yard cuts, or 14 3/4 yard cuts

Queen Quilt - 96 x 108 - 48 1/3 yard cuts, or 18 3/4 yard cuts

King Quilt - 108 x 108 - 54 1/3 yard cuts, or 21 3/4 yard cuts
